The cars that the train carried;
their origins and destinations.

Trains number 1 and 21 operated as two different trains in 1954. The South Texas and West Texas  Eagles would depart St. Louis a few minutes apart. They would travel as far as Longview, Texas before going on their separate ways. Train 21 would continue on to Palestine, Texas where it would split off the Houston-Galveston cars as train 121. Number 121 carried a diner-lounge. Coaches would continue on to Galveston and Corpus Christi on connecting trains.
The Aztec Eagle was the connection to Mexico City by way of Laredo, Texas.
